FUEL PRICE HIKE?

FUEL PRICE HIKE?

Based on the article in star online, Sunday May 22nd 2011.
http://www.nst.com.my/nst/articles/9badm/Article/

Muhyiddin stated that the government plans to rationalize the fuel subsidy as the price of the commodity is increasing world wide.
Yup.Thats true. The raw oil price is increasing around the world. But why all the complains from the people and the opposition? This is my personal opinion on the matter.
Its not that we don’t actually acknowledge the increasing of the fuel price, and the billions of subsidy given by the government, but the government should consider few factors that made we said and think like that.
Over the years, the oil price have been increasing regularly and have burden us. I still remember when I was still studying, the oil price of normal RON95 hiked to about RM2.50 per liter. For a student who’s studying outside KL from KL, the need arise for the usage of motorized vehicle and the high fuel price is overwhelming for us. Not only for student but for working people also.
So for me its ok for the government to increase the fuel price, but after considering the income per capita. I personally think that there are no balance in all the decision make here. The reason why I said that is because the average salary/wages in Malaysia is still low. Imagine people who are surviving with for example: rm800 per month, how can they afford the hiked in fuel price?
For example, if in the US they are charging 3dollar per liter, but basic working rates for the workers there are like 5 – 7 dollar per hour, while here some companies still offers rm3 to rm5 per hour. Did you get the imbalance here? That’s why I personally advice the government to look at the wages and salary before increasing the price of any commodities. You want to increase the fuel price? Increase the floor wages for the workers. That’s what I think. What do you think?

MALAYSIA, INDONESIA, AND THE ACCLAIMED STOLEN CULTURE?

(September 11, 2009) I can’t help it but to read about an interesting news in most of the newspaper these past few days. It’s about furious Indonesians that claimed that Malaysia has stolen their cultural dance? Sounds weird isn’t it? How can a country with the same geographic and ethnic similarities steal each other culture? Maybe you have read enough in the newspaper, Internets, or in blogs. But if you wanted to know about a young man point of view, please continue reading this.

***THE NEWS***
Last few days since I wrote this article, Malaysians all over the world, especially in Malaysia and Indonesia had been shocked by the news that Indonesia are preparing to go to war with Malaysia? I was mesmerized at first sight. I’ve been thinking, what could Malaysians done to burn the anger of these Indonesians? At first I thought that it is because the minimal wages rates for the Indonesians maids in Malaysia but as I read further it is actually not about that.
Some Indonesians are claiming that Malaysia has stolen their cultural dance that’s called Baliness Pendet Dance. This enrage occur when a Discovery Channel episode that is Enigmatic Malaysia used the dance in the promotion. Yes, the promotion of Malaysia used the Baliness Pendet Dance in it, but it is not produces by the Malaysia government or Malaysian Tourism Board. It is produced by Discovery Channel. And for the record, Discovery Channel has apologized to the Indonesian Government for the mistake. So is it rational and right to be mad at a brothers country when there’s nothing wrong done?

**AREN’T WE BROTHERS?**
I have to accept the Malaysian Government ignorance to filter the content of the promotion. We supposed to filter anything that’s published bringing Malaysia name that can spark controversy between neighboring countries. That is our fault and we admit it. But it is no reason whatsoever to act like a stone man. Blackmailing and threaten Malaysians while they are not responsible for the event occur. Malaysians student in Indonesia is the group of Malaysians that had been affected so much by this event. Students supposed to be wise about these things. They should know that Malaysia and Indonesia share the same culture as The Sultan-ship in Tanah Melayu begins from Parameswara that is the prince of Java King. So, in an easy explanation, Indonesians and Malaysians are brothers started long since the opening of Bandar Melaka.
So, one can’t claimed that the dance, the culture is theirs as we are actually one (Satu Rumpun). And to be more accurate and precise, our culture and even language is mostly taken from India(Hindu), China, Arabs(Islam) and Portuguese. What we have is actually a shared culture.

**RESPECT**
I really don’t understand this. Whenever two country or two political parties have some controversy and misunderstanding, they’ll always burn the flag. Can any body tell me why? Doesn’t anyone teach any of them manners and respect?
In Yogyakarta University, educated Indonesians burn Malaysian flag to show their anger towards Malaysians. Some hackers hacked into Malaysian website and accusing Malaysia of stealing and everything else on the Merdeka day. If anyone haven’t been taught about respect, it’s them. I can understand if you are a bit angered by the fact that your cultural heritage has been misused and misunderstand to be others. But in a sense that Malaysia and Indonesia have long been helping each other and have international political stability, please don’t ruined it. A flag is a nation symbol and what they believe in. If you burn another country’s flag, you are disrespecting what they believe. Try and imagine it’s your Holy Book or your country flags being burned. Will you be furious?

**FROM AN INDONESIAN POINT OF VIEW**
This is an interesting article in The Star;Thursday;10 September 2009: Page W48. It is an article from the Asia News Network and Jakarta Post.

**HOPES AND A PIECE OF ME**
I personally hope that whatever it is they’re fighting for can be resolved in a good way with no bloodbath or war involved. Its sad to see our brothers and sisters from the same great ancestors are fighting over some ridiculous matter that can be resolved without any controversy. Be rational and please don’t behave like a man from the ice ages. Barbarians with no brains. We have more similarities than we ever wanted to. This is our genes and this is our culture. Friendship, and the Polite Asian. This is who we are. Don’t get influence by all the violence in TV. Those are bullshit! Please, if you are reading this…Help by tagging this notes around. 1Malaysia 1Rumpun 1Suara.

OPENING 10% UiTM QUOTA TO NON-BUMIS(between politics and dignity) : November 15, 2008

Theres so much fuzz among Malays when Dato Khalid Ibrahim (new Selangor MB from PKR) make a statement that he is going to opened up 10% quota for non-bumis to come in. Most of the feedback are negative. They are saying that Dato Khalid is totally wrong and outrages to make a statement like that, that can spark racial problems. Some even called him the Malay Traitor! That is to much i think. The statement that is made after the pRU2008 is bound to spark controversy and for UMNO and BARISAN NASIONAL leaders who just lost the state of Selangor(One of Malaysia's most stable and developed state) this is the right thing for him to do. Political advantages will be gain by the government and they can build in the hatred for Dato Khalid and PKR among the Malays.

If we look back in to history. Theres an awefull event called the Black 13, 13th May 1969. That is when There is a big fight between the Malays and the Chinese. Hundreds were killed and millions was affected by this event. This is the reasons given by the government to shut Dato Khalids mouth. If you were to reads journals and books from the British Arkib and other author about 13th May, you'll see that theres always a different story to tell. For me , it is like we are being fool by our own country, our own leaders. The history learned in School is FAKE! and it is done in bius to UMNO.

So back to opening the UiTM to non-bumis. I personally think that this isnt a big issue after all. It is just politics and the government is using it to gain symphaty from the Malays, To show that they care about the Bumis and they will fight for the Bumis. It is all that dirty politics after all. I personally supporting the opening of 10% quota to non-bumis. For me there is no reasons for any government or any universities in the world to limit its student to only one specific races. University in general is a place where students come for their higher education and researchers doing their research. Some people i know said, what will happened to our children and grand children if thers no UiTM? How much money must we pay for our child to study at a private college? How is the Malay status and special right? Those are just childish question that is being asked and answered by our childish leaders. Let me answer these questions.

What will happen to our child and grand child later? They will still get to go to university but according to their academic qualification. Not due to the quota of Bumis. This for me will enable future generation to work harder and achieved. Other races can do it although there is no special right. They can succeed and yet the statistics shows that there is more Chinese and Indians rich people rather than the Malays. Dont judge future generationby the way you are right now. You are a sucsidized citizens that is to lazy to work up your ass to have a better life and rather to live in comfort of Special rights. Wake Up! If you are this kind of person, no matter how much UiTM are there, no matter how many special rights are there, you will still be no one. Other races will certainly get advantages over you.

How much money must we have to pay for private college? Hah. This is a lazybump talking. If you are asking this question than you are just so lazy to improved your life and doesnt really care about your child. You are just putting your child future on government subsidies and special rights. Be a gentleman. Dont ask anybody for anything man. Get up and build your life!

Special Rights? This is the most sensitive issue of all.For malays at least. We(malays) have these rights since the independence from 1957. Back then, Tunku Abdul Rahman, Tan Cheng Lock and Tun Sambanthan make a decision to make a law governing Malays rights as they are the Bumis(people who live/own the country before modernization). Since then Malays are pampered and bless with all these special rights and laws which enables them to be lazy and right although it is not what supposed to be. If you guys read articles and journals, and do some research, you'll know that actually all these things is a political propaganda that is planned by the British and carried out by the Malaya's leaders. It is actually 'the thing' that make malays weak and dreadful. That is my oppinion. Malays who keep holding to their special rights is thinking that they can be less hardworking than other races and what this lead us? Malays becoming the poorest races in Malaysia. Our own country as we say. I'm saying this regarding to the topic i opened. Opening the 10% quota. I'm not saying that the special rights should be abolished or anything. I actually believe that those things/laws/rights are needed to maintain stability and harmony that we have accomplished for so many years. So, think about it i would say.

In this blog, i would be seen as not being grateful and not being patriotic to this country. But for me, i'm writing this down because i wanted to change the mindset of my race(MALAYS) and all aother races in Malaysia. If we really think about it, people are made by gods with differences for us to accept each other and try to live tigether in peace and harmony. Not fighting all the time and declaring war against each other..That is till now. My battery is runningg low...Keep reading my blog k guys..
